About QuantForum

QuantForum is an independent community forum for people who build, test, and run algorithmic and AI-assisted trading systems. The focus is practical: EA building for MT4/MT5, backtesting and optimization methodology, honest broker and platform experience, and how macro regimes affect systematic strategies.

The rule of thumb for everything posted here: measurements beat opinions. We would rather read one logged slippage report than ten confident claims.

If you found this page by searching Quant Forum, Quantforum, or QuantForum, you are looking at the trading community at quantforum.dev. We are not affiliated with unrelated academic or institutional projects that happen to use a similar name (for example university psychology forums). Our scope is retail and practitioner algorithmic trading discussion only.

Who runs it

QuantForum is run by a small independent team of algo-trading enthusiasts. It is not owned by a broker, a platform, or a tool vendor, and it does not sell signals, courses, or "verified" performance. Hosting costs are covered by the team; if that ever changes (for example, clearly-labelled sponsorship), it will be announced on this page before it happens.

Editorial seed content — an honest disclosure

Every community starts empty, and an empty forum helps no one. To bootstrap discussion, some early threads and replies were written by the team as editorial seed content. These posts:

• are marked internally as seed content (and seed profiles as editorial accounts),
• are written to be genuinely useful practitioner Q&A — real questions with nuanced, balanced answers,
• never claim to be real-user testimonials, never fake "verified purchases", and never post astroturfed reviews,
• mention third-party tools — both independent ones and tools in adjacent projects — only where they are genuinely relevant to the question, with pros and cons.

AI assistance may be used in drafting editorial answers; all seeded material is reviewed by a human before publication. As real membership grows, seed content will be a shrinking minority of the site, and eventually only a clearly-marked historical footnote.

The site also operates one clearly-labelled automated editorial account, quantforum_editorial. It posts AI-drafted explainer threads from a publicly visible topic queue, at a slow fixed cadence. Its posts follow the same rules as everything else here: no invented results or testimonials, balanced tool mentions with genuine cons, and a human moderator reviews every post after publication.

What we promise

• No fake reviews or planted testimonials, ever.
• Affiliations must be disclosed — see the guidelines.
• Nothing here is financial advice.
• Moderation removes spam and astroturfing, not criticism. Negative experiences with any tool — including tools the team likes — stay up.
