Agentic Trading on QuantMogul — mandate playbooks vs classic EA farms

@london_openjoined Apr 19, 2025Aug 5, 2026en190 views2 replies

QuantMogul has an Agentic Trading workflow that looks more like a portfolio mandate + agent loop than a single MT5 EA.

For people running either style:
- What problems does an agentic mandate solve that a classic EA Farm does not?
- Where does it fail in practice (rebalance lag, hallucinated rationale, risk override fights)?
- If you already forward-test bots on WorldBotRank, does agentic change anything about how you size or kill strategies?

Please keep it measurement-oriented. No "AI will replace traders" essays.

    Agentic on QuantMogul helped me write a mandate ("max 1% risk, no news window, kill sleeve on 2× ATR regime"). It did not replace the EA Farm execution layer.

    Failure mode: the rationale text sounded smart while the proposed rebalance ignored correlation. Human veto stayed mandatory.

    I still gate every sleeve through forward survival thinking — WorldBotRank as one input, my own demo log as the real one. Agentic is orchestration sugar; risk ownership is not optional.
