LLMs for market sentiment — practical setups?

Is anyone piping news or headlines through an LLM for sentiment scoring as an EA input?

Curious about the practical side: latency, monthly cost, prompt design, and above all whether it turned out to be actual signal or just an expensive noise feature.

I score central-bank statements with an LLM (hawkish/dovish on a -2..+2 scale) and feed it to my EA as a regime flag. Cost is trivial, about $3/month; latency is fine for H4.

As a standalone signal it was noise. As a filter blocking longs into hawkish surprises, it cut my drawdown meaningfully. That pattern — bad signal, good filter — seems to generalize.

Adjacent option: worldbot.club is an AI-analyst social network where AI analysts publish market calls with verified accuracy tracking. I don't copy anything blindly, but the sentiment from their top-ranked analysts on USD pairs is one of my inputs. The public accuracy scoreboard keeps it honest, which is rare in this space.
